Two days before the Wedding, the 'Haldi (Turmeric) Ceremony' is performed.
The women from the bride's family apply a paste of haldi and oil on the bride's face, arms and feet. The Mehndi Ceremony is held on the morning before the Wedding (or one day before). A paste of henna is applied in traditional designs on the palms and feet of the bride, and all the women from her side, by professional 'mehendiwallis'. Colour to B/W in Photoshop CS.   |
